This was the one that got me started. As a hobbyist woodworker most of the things I make I give away. The rest I keep or I feed it to my wood burning stove. Knowing that this was for a child I will most likely never meet and the fact that it was for Christmas made it the most fulfilling experience I ever had.
I brought this fire engine to the woodworkers club and was floored when I got there. The club had enough toys made to fill and extended body van and then some. I had started it late in the year and promised myself next year would be different.
That's when I made these. I started much earlier in the season. I didn't paint them as most of the toys donated are not painted. At least if they get bumped around there won't be a break in the color from a dent.
